The primary purpose of our preschool is to provide a safe, happy and positive environment for children to learn, grow, and develop through guided group play.
We have a structured program including learning centers, group time, snack time, indoor and outdoor play and occasional field trips. These age appropriate activities are designed to give each child the opportunities to be a leader, follower, and a helper. Art, music, games, and stories are important parts of the activities your child will experience at Bethesda Preschool.
The following developmental learning skills and activities will be included in our program:
Our staff consists of a director, a teacher for the 4 year old class, and a teacher for the 3 year old class.
School days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30-11:30am and follow the public school calendar for September through May. All holidays are observed as with the school schedule. Snow days and early closings also follow the public school schedule although if school is delayed for more than one hour we will be closed. Make up days will be decided by our Preschool Board.
In April of each year we celebrate Preschool Sunday in which the children are invited to participate in the church worship service and demonstrate some of the songs that they have learned in their school year. Following the service is a reception on the lawn honoring the teachers and the parents.
