HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF BETHESDA PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

•Membership is extended to anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as Savior.•

Persons may join Bethesda Presbyterian Church in one of three ways:

in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (and baptism if never received before)

  • Reaffirmation of Faith:

    Reaffirming Christian commitment and membership vows; when one has been inactive in church membership or when coming from a denomination that does not transfer membership.

  • Transfer of Letter:

    Many denominations will simply transfer membership. If you are interested in membership with our family of faith, please contact one of the pastors or any of our church officers.

    QUESTIONS FOR THOSE JOINING BETHESDA PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH BY AFFIRMATION OF FAITH:
    1. Do you acknowledge yourself to be a sinner in the sight of God, justly deserving God's displeasure, and without hope except in God's sovereign mercy?

    2. Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior of sinners, and do you receive and depend upon Christ alone for your salvation as offered in the gospel?

    3. Do you now resolve and promise, in humble reliance upon the grace of the Holy spirit, that you will endeavor to live as becomes the followers of Jesus Christ?

    4. Do you promise to serve Christ in the church by supporting and participating in its service to God and its ministry to others to the best of your ability?

    5. Do you submit yourself to the government and discipline of the church and promise to further its purity and peace?
